No luck.
March 9, 2006
Unfortunately I never heard back from Lori. Since then I have received two more inquiries. One person never e-mailed me back. Another, a man named Mike, e-mailed me back to let me know that the hours that I am available are not what he needs. Bleh.
On the plus side, I have a job interview at Samuel Mancino’s Italian Eatery on March 28. They are opening a new location and need to hire about thirty people. I don’t really want to work in a restaurant but I guess I’ll have to live with it. Bleh.
I gave blood yesterday! Man, what a weird feeling. I could actually feel the blood leaving my arm. Apparently not too many people actually can. I don’t really have any bruising where the needle was. I think that the finger prick hurt a lot more than the actual donation. The tip of my right middle finger is still sore. It hurts to write. Eee. I got a free t-shirt, though!
I can’t believe it is Friday tomorrow. This week has gone by pretty quickly. All next week I get to sleep in. I don’t have to be to school until 9:40PM because the sophomores and a couple juniors are taking the OGTs. It will be nice. :D
Today Mrs. Pearson wasn’t at school so she had a substitute. I have a study hall that block so I am her student aide, along with one of my best friends. I graded the stack of papers that she had there and me, Danielle, and Brandi decided to leave and go to Subway. I love Subway! Their cookies are the best EVER. Yum.
I should probably go paint. We’re redoing our family room. So far I’ve done nearly all of the painting, which has been two coats of primer. We bought the cream color for the top half of the walls today so I’m going to get started on that. Fun fun.

Really annoying when you never hear back off someone regarding a job. Hope that the interview at the Italian place goes well, I could never work in a restaurant as the plates would be empty before they got to the tables.

Argh! You know, I still haven’t heard back from those people I had an interview with before Christmas, despite them promising they’d get in touch by the end of the week? Anyway.. it’s all irrelevant for me now as I have a new job, so I’m just going to focus all of my job-getting energy on wishing you luck for your interview at the Italian place, because my magical charms will help you get it, right? ;)

Sorry to hear about Lori. People can be such idiots. If she doesn’t even have the courtesy to reply then she’s probably not the sort of person you’d want to be working for, anyhow.
Good luck with your interview tomorrow!
